Rob Lees is a highly experienced DJ and radio broadcaster with a lifelong passion for soul music. His journey behind the decks began in his early teens, with his first on-air introduction taking place on BBC GMR in 1999, marking the start of a long and varied broadcasting career.
Alongside radio, Rob spent over 20 years working as a mobile DJ, performing primarily at weddings while also playing at clubs across the North West of England. These years helped shape a versatile, crowd-aware style grounded in strong musical knowledge and experience.
Away from broadcasting, Rob works full-time as an international airline pilot, currently flying the Boeing 777 for a leading Middle Eastern airline. This unique career has allowed him to travel extensively, regularly visiting record shops around the world and expanding an ever-growing collection of rare and classic soul releases.
Rob is one of the founding members of Panacea Radio and plays an integral role in shaping the station’s musical direction. His broadcasts reflect both dedication and authenticity, combining deep soul knowledge with a genuine love for the music.
